To improve process unit operations, Dow is incorporating more statistical quality control into our engineering piping specifications. Valves are being evaluated not only from the standpoint of safety, but also in the area of “fugitive emissions”.

Trunnion Mounted, Ball Valve Description

The Dow Chemical Company is in the process of updating our engineering piping specifications.
Top entry ball valves are preferred; however, end-entry valves may be used under some circumstances.

To insure that your valves are correctly listed in our specifications, will you please complete the attached form describing your valves. Place on this form, the correct description of your valves which meet the requirements of the attached materials of construction.

In addition to the attached materials of construction, all valves are required to pass the API 607 fire test.

The list should include the valves available from your company in the range of two inch through ten inch, AMSI 300, 600, 900 and 1500.

GAZPROM - Branch Enterprise of Russian Stock Company Gazprom GAZCOMPLEKTIMPEX

This letter is to inform potential customers that GAZPROM officials recognize AMERICAN ENERGY SERVICES, INC. as a qualified vendor for valve related product. GAZPROM representatives have visited the corporate offices and plant facility in Houston, Texas, U.S.A. and have found that AES, Inc. is a registered API 6D Valve Manufacturer which is working toward concomitant ISO 9000 approval in 1995.

GAZPROM has evaluated AES, Inc. capabilities in design, engineering and production of valves, as well as quality control, material selection and certification procedures. Plant capacity has been found to be sufficient enough to handle large project requisitions, with the utilization of qualified vendors such as foundry, forge shop, and sub-contract machining services in the immediate area.
GAZPROM engineers and technical specialists are studying a technical proposal for gate, check, ball, and control valve requirements along with all required actuation, counter flanges, and accessories. GAZPROM employees are working out the possibility to purchase from AES, Inc. in the fiscal year 1995.

AES, Inc. has prepared for testing a 4" ANSI 1500# top entry ball valve, with special metallurgy, trim, and seals for cold temperature sen/ice. This valve will be field tested under conditions of H2S media.

AES, Inc. has been found to be a competent manufacturer in providing quality valve product for both domestic and foreign use. AES, Inc. officials are quite familiar with international financing and in particular with Export-Import Bank financing which will be utilized in major project works. AES, Inc. has strived to provide a technically competent proposal to our firm and has made all requested changes and adjustments to specifications as required by GAZPROM specialists.
GAZPROM looks forward to continuing to work with AES, Inc. and would hope that they will become one of the suppliers of valve product in the future.

HOECHST CELANESE

Hoechst Celanese recently purchased about fourteen 3/4", 6", and 8" Zirconium 702 swing check valves that were designed and manufactured by American Energy Services. The two orders for the fourteen valves included both cast and forged body valves.

Hoechst Celanese was very satisfied with the quality of AES's work in providing the valves. AES was very thorough in the design and quality control documentation provided with the valves. We were very pleased with AES's commitment to meeting the delivery schedule and to keeping Hoechst Celanese advised of developments and changes that occurred while the order was being processed.

This letter will confirm that American Energy services was approved by Bechtel Corporation and LYONDELL-CITGO Refining Co. Ltd. as a source for class 150, class 300 and class 600 ansi 816.34, ASTM 215 and 217 alloy valves on the LYONDELL-CITGO Refinery Expansion Project, Hydrotreater. Deliveries to date have been satisfactory and within the agreed schedule.
